چکیده

The purpose of this study was to investigate the fracture strength endodontically treated human maxillary premolars (ETP) restored with posts and metal ceramic (MC) or monolithic zirconia (MZ) crowns. Sixty ETP were randomly divided into 3 groups. Teeth in control group (C) received a resin filling. MC prefabricated posts, composite cores crowns while MZ glass-fiber Half specimens loaded at 135° angle half under axial loading until fracture. modes repairable irreparable using optical microscopy. Mean significantly higher for than only loading. distribution failures presented no significant differences. Crown placement improved irrespectively post crown type.

Fracture Resistance and Failure Mode of Endodontically Treated Premolars Restored with Different Adhesive Restorations

Introduction: The restoration of endodontically treated teeth is a topic that has been studied extensively but it is still a challenge for dental practitioners. The aim of this study was to evaluate fracture resistance, fracture patterns and fracture location of endodontically treated human maxillary premolars restored with direct and indirect composite resin and ceramic restoration. Methods: E...

Fracture resistance of endodontically treated premolars restored with different restorations

Purpose: To compare in vitro fracture resistance of endodontically treated premolars restored with bonded amalgam or resin composite. Materials and Methods: Fifty intact and caries-free premolars that had been extracted for orthodontic treatment were selected. All teeth were subjected to endodontic procedures and MOD cavity preparation. They were then randomly divided into the five following gr...

Fracture resistance of endodontically treated canines restored with different sizes of fiber post and all-ceramic crowns

PURPOSE The aim of this study was to determine the fracture resistance and the mode of fracture of endodontically treated teeth restored with different fiber posts and all-ceramic crowns. MATERIALS AND METHODS Two glass fiber reinforced post systems in two different sizes and polyethylene fiber ribbon in two different thicknesses (n=10) were used. The specimens, restored with all-ceramic crow...

Comparison of the Fracture Resistance of Endodontically Treated Maxillary Incisors Restored with Six Different Post and Core Systems

Background and Aim: Different methods and materials are available for post and core (P&C) fabrication. We aimed to compare the fracture resistance and failure modes of endodontically treated maxillary central incisors restored with six different P&C systems. Materials and Methods: In this in-vitro study, after endodontic treatment and coronal preparation of 60 maxillary central incisors, six d...
